Candi dasa Beach is the eastern destination that is best equipped with accommodation possibilities and restaurants. The resort has undergone fast growth since the 1980s when there was basically nothing at all except for a few local houses. Facilities were built to add multiple choices for the sake of guests' convenience. Many visitors made their time to visit this destination to see some unspoiled destination outside the main areas. The ancient tradition is maintained and adjusted with modern life preserved and maintained to survive and grow. Tenganan has 2 unique handicrafts, double ikat fabrics and atagrass accessories. There are some art shops inside the village that are owned and managed by the local people. Beautiful ikat handwoven fabrics will be a nice giveaway for taking home. In the eastern part there are the pleasure palaces called Tirtagangga. It is a complex that comprises of spring-fed bathing pools, fountain and decorative ponds. Tirtagangga
literally means 'holy water of the Ganges'. It was built after World War II by the king of Karangasem. In the past the main function of this spring was for a resource of holy water for ritual ceremonies. Nowadays it is also used as a recreation park.

For those who are interested in marine activities, eastern Bali offers complete 'menu' like diving sites at Amed and Tulamben. The most favorite diving site is near the shipwreck of US transport ship that sunk by the attack of Japan troops during the World War II. Very popular among most divers that include both Amed and Tulamben in their Candidasa holiday.
